ABOUT US

We want to Live and Give the Gospel to our Community

Jesus is the reason we meet and work together. He brought us healing and hope and wants to do the same for you.

We are people who have been radically transformed by God's love and pray that you will experience the peace that only God can bring.

So we meet, sing, and serve together so every one finds the life that Jesus brings.

John 3:16

For God so Loved the World, that He gave his one and only Son. Whoever believes in Him will not perish, but have everlasting Life!

This life starts now and we invite you to come and join us as we let God work in our lives and we work together to bring love, joy and peace to our community.

OUR HISTORY

Small Beginnings

  1. Founded in 1943 by Gilroy residents who wanted to see a gospel preaching, Jesus following church in the growing village of Gilroy.
  2. The Church grew from its beginning and purchased a lot at the corner of Sixth Street and Hannah Street. For year the church met and grew in that location. (It's now the Gilroy Senior Center)
  3. In 1973 the members looked to the growth of the community and moved out to edge of town to reach the new families moving in.
  4. Gilroy moved to us and beyond. Our location is now in a neighborhood and we praise the Lord for all the new folks He continues to bring for us to care for.
  5. You can join us as we work together to live out the gospel in our own lives and give out the gospel to the community.

What do Baptists Believe?

We believe that God loves you.
He loved you so much that He sent his son to make it possible for every man and woman to know God, and spend eternity with Him.

In the gospel of John, the third chapter, a  religious leader went to see Jesus one night. This holy man wanted to learn from Jesus. As they talked Jesus told him that if he wanted to enter the Kingdom of God (Heaven, and being God’s Child), he would have to be born again.

This naturally confused the teacher. It was a new and difficult idea to grasp. Jesus assured him, that this is not a physical rebirth. He was invited to be spiritually reborn, and this time as God’s Child, apart of God’s family.

Jesus explains how we can be reborn. And today I want you to know that Jesus is inviting you to be reborn into his family.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.”

- Jesus, quoted in John 3:16-18

God wants you to be forgiven and have eternal life.

If you are ready, you can pray to God like many of us have.

“Father,
I have made many mistakes, and I have lived a life that is not perfect. Please forgive me. I am ready to receive this gift you offer, and I want to learn to follow you, and your son. Thank you for accepting me into your family.
I pray this in Jesus’ name.    - Amen”

We are so excited to help you as your follow Jesus.
